Donna, Let me take this opportunity to salute you on the occasion of the 50th chapter of After The Future! ::drum flourish:: ::trumpets call:: "Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-LOOT!!!" ::loud cheers, stamping and clapping:: The story is unmitigated joy from beginning to middle. I can't say end, 'cause it isn't over yet. Gods willing, you'll keep writing it for a long time, because I would miss that anticipation of yet another chapter. Dead-on characterizations, a story line that is consistent with the mytharc as we understand it, with the added bonus of seeing Mulder and Scully happily married and raising a family in a community where they are respected and where their quest continues, ATF gives us everything we had hoped to get from the series itself and never did. I discovered After The Future when it was up to part 8. I downloaded the 7 previous part and started reading. I was hooked and waited impatiently for the next installment. Now, we're up to part 49 and it's a bit like Christmas when Donna post another one. I'm looking forward to read the last chapter someday because this story necessarily need some closure. As much as I love it, I really really want to see it finished. One Day. So Donna, keep em coming! Thanks for sharing with us wildafox

Donna, m'love...when Deia put forth the idea of publically thanking you for the wonderous "After The Fall" series, I felt compelled to join the group....not only as a reader/lover of ATF, but for the joy you've given me in allowing me to be a small part of this fabulous adventure! While I wasn't there at the start six years ago, I guarantee you....I'll be there 'til the end.....which I hope won't come for a verrrrry long time.        <g> D, you're a grand storyteller, and the rich imagery you've brought to the 'Community of The Mulder' year after year, is truly amazing. The ongoing adventures of this group of suvivors has always left me with that wonderous sense of 'overcoming of the human spirit', even in the face of the toughest odds. My favorite theme of Ernest Hemingway's stories is 'grace under fire'.... the same uplifting theme that runs through ATF....I love that. This continuing saga of Mulder and Scully captured the hearts and imagination of the XF community years ago, and I applaud you for your undying devotion to keeping the dream alive. A Future we like to call "After" Is filled with both tears and then laughter. Each chapter we crave -- Even WIP wimps are brave -- When it comes to the world Donna crafted. Okay, so it doesn't rhyme. 8-P But the sentiments are heartfelt and sincere. In spite of *never* reading unfinished stories (what, never? no, never. what, never? well, hardly ever), I can't wait for every new story in this amazing saga. I can't believe it's been six years. I wish it could keep going for another six. ~ducks~ Thank you, Donna, for a wonderful, compelling series that is already a classic in the XF fandom. I'm glad I didn't wait until it was done to read it. I'd have a damned long wait. LOL mimic

Donna, Congratulations for creating "After the Future." You have made a wonderful, well plotted series that has lasted for years. I hope you keep it going as long as you're able to do so. Dearest Donna, Wow! Has it been 6 years already? Just wanted to say that for all this time, ATF has entertained, kept me on my seat, made me laugh, made me cry and done everything that a great fic is supposed to do! There's so many characters to keep up with, but I love them all, and I love all the kids! It's truly a great story to keep visiting time and again. Donna, Six years is a long time to keep a fic running, but damn-girl if you haven't made it one wild ride. I can't imagine how you are continuously able to come up with new plotlines and string them together so seamlessly. I've enjoyed ATF for the better part of two years and I wouldn't have changed a moment of it! Everything you write captures the attention and the hearts of your readers. It's a gift you have, that I only hope to one day achieve for myself. You are an icon in the community and ATF will live on forever more, even if you finish it. Although, I hope that day doesn't come anytime soon! Even though Donna knows I've fallen behind with everything that's going on I can't wait to get caught up. This is by far one of the best damn wips I've ever read. Perfect characterization and story development, plus we get regular updates and she doesn't desert her stories so you can count on her to deliver.
